Two men bought $12,400 in gift cards with fraudulent credit cards in Milford
MILFORD–Two men from out of state were arrested for trying to buy gift cards with counterfeit and fraudulent credit cards.
On Monday, Dec. 22, police were called to the Macy’s located at 1201 Boston Post Rd.
The investigation revealed that two suspects purchased 31 store gift cards, totalling $12,400, with multiple fraudulent credit cards. Also, one suspect bit a store employee on the hand.
Charles Hamilton, 26, of Tampa, Florida was charged with larceny in the second degree, conspiracy to commit larceny in the second degree, illegal use of a credit card, credit card theft, credit card fraud, unlawful reproduction of credit card, four counts of forgery in the third degree and robbery.
Akeem Henry, 26, of New York, was charged with larceny, illegal use of a credit card, credit card theft, credit card fraud, unlawful reproduction of credit card and seven counts of forgery.
Both were held on $250,000 bonds and appeared in court on Dec. 23.
