NORTH HAVEN -- When Taylor Swift visited a Connecticut Starbucks, teens, pre-teens, and certain Fox CT news team members were freaking out.

We just learned more about what Swift did while she was in our state, and she did a lot more than sign autographs at a coffee shop.

Wednesday night, Swift released a video detailing her grand plan for gift giving.

In the video, she explains how she wanted to make people happy, so she bought surprise gifts for many fans-- including a family right here in Connecticut.

Swift befriended a local woman named Steph, and the singer said she wanted to surprise Steph's son Layton with some Christmas presents.

Swift shipped the gifts to many fans, but she decided it was important enough to drive to North Haven and deliver it herself, she said.

“They’re supposed to be home because they think there’s going to be a package dropped off by UPS--but UPS is me,” Swift said in the video.

Watch the exchange in the video above. You can see Swift playing with the little Connecticut boy too.

“I am not alive," Steph wrote on her blog. "Let the gross sobbing begin. Thank thank thank you Taylor for visiting Leyton. I can’t even put into words how amazing you are and can never repay you. Leyton will remember this and his awesome gifts forever. We all love you so much and I’m so glad he thanked you with this epic kiss.”
