Bedroom fire in Westport, no injuries reported

WESTPORT- Firefighters responded to a home on Guyer Road around 6:30 p.m on Sunday evening on a report of a structure fire.

According to the Westport Fire Department, all occupants were out of the residence when crews arrived on scene and found a fire in a second floor bedroom.

Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the flames and prevent the fire from spreading.

Fire officials say no injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s office.
