ENFIELD – Emergency crews responded to a fire on Elm Street Friday morning around 6:30 a.m. The fire broke out in a barn on the property of 364 Elm St., which is detached from the home.
There have been at least six previous structure fires within a quarter-mile radius in the past few months. After spending the day investigating, Lt. Willie Pedemonti says this fire is now considered the seventh arson, and it is believed that it’s connected to the previous fires.
The state fire marshal’s office is still investigating the cause of the fire along with the Hazardville Fire Dept and Fire Marshal.
Police have been unable able to identify a suspect up to this point.
Neighbors are warned to be extra vigilant.
