BRISTOL – Three people were injured and one person was arrested after a domestic assault with a sledgehammer and patio block Sunday evening.
Police say David Buchelli, 53, of Tulip Street in Bristol, assaulted two family members shortly before 7 p.m.
A 47-year-old male visiting the home tried to stop the attack, according to police, but Buchelli attacked him. The victim was taken to Bristol Hospital.
Buchelli was arrested and charged with assault, criminal mischief, breach of peace, and refusal to be fingerprinted.
Police said Buchelli also caused $3,000 in damages to a vehicle at the home.
Buchelli was held on a $100,000 bond.
