We'll clouds increase during the afternoon, as a clipper passes well south of Connecticut. Most of the snow will also stay south through tonight with the exception of a flurry that may sneak in our neck of the wools tonight. The storm will drag in another shot of colder air behind it for the rest of the week.

This relatively quiet winter is about become a little more active by this weekend and next week. The first system will feature a storm moving out of the Gulf of Mexico move northeast off the mid-Atlantic shoreline, intensify as it continues to track up the coast to a position just east of Cape Cod by Saturday night. Right now that storm track could deliver accumulating snow to Connecticut; so stay tuned for updates as the storm track could make all the difference in the world between a big snowstorm and hardly any snow at all. Skies will clear out on Sunday followed by another storm tracking along a similar path that could deliver yet another band of significant snows by Monday night into Tuesday.
