Newington student arrested for bringing pot brownies to school

NEWINGTON -Police arrested an 18-year-old high school student on drug charges after they say he brought marijuana brownies to class.

An assistant principal informed the school resource officer Tuesday shortly before 9 a.m. that he suspected Dallas Kaufman had several marijuana brownies on school property.

Kauffman, 18, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell within 1500 feet of a School and Possession of less than 4 ounces of Marijuana.

Kaufman was released on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in New Britain Superior Court February 3.
