WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (AP) — A New York medical examiner has found that all six of the people killed in a horrific collision between a Metro North train and an SUV suffered blunt-force injuries and burns.

The findings are based on autopsies conducted by the Westchester County medical examiner’s office.

A statement released today by the county doesn’t specify the cause of death for any of those killed.

Here’s a statement sent to Fox CT from Kieran O’Leary, the spokesperson for Westchester County:

Autopsies conducted by the Westchester Medical Examiner’s Office revealed that all of those killed in the Metro-North Rail Road accident suffered blunt force injuries and burns to the body. The Medical Examiner’s final report and determinations in this incident will not be completed until the conclusion of the NTSB investigation.
