NEWINGTON-- Police are investigating a serious accident involving a car and a male pedestrian near the New Britain town line.
The accident occurred on Fenn Road right along the border of Central Connecticut State University.
The regional accident reconstruction team responded to the scene and has requested surveillance video from a nearby gas station, according to an attendant at the station. The victim has been identified as David Ciszek, 41, of New Britain.
Police say he is at Hartford Hospital suffering from serious injuries. The driver did remain at the scene of the crash.
