Groton police searching for three men in suspected shooting

GROTON – At approximately 3 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14, a 21 year old male driving his car on 403 Route 12 was shot in the back.

He was driven by friends to the Broad Street Station Fire Department of New London, where he was treated by firefighters and then transported to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital.  Police say the wound is not life threatening.

The Groton Town Police are looking for three suspects, obtained through surveillance video.

The first suspect is a Hispanic male, mid 20’s,  wearing a red ball cap and red sweatshirt with “BASE” on the front.  The second suspect is a Hispanic male, mid 20’s with goatee on his chin, wearing a black puffy coat, with a white zipper, and a white baseball cap. The third suspect is a black male with long dreadlocked hair, wearing a multicolored baseball cap and a light colored vest.
