HARTFORD — One dad with an eye for illustration and some pretty impressive culinary skills is surprising YouTube viewers and his own daughter with some interesting breakfast creations.
Nathan Shields run a YouTube channel and a blog titled Saipancakes. On both, Shields showcases his pancake art. Characters are made by laying down pancake batter at different times. The longer the batter spends on the pan, the darker it appears on the pancake’s face. Shields has created pancakes bearing likeness to Michael Jackson, Zach Galifianakis, George Washington, and now “Frozen’s” Anna and Elsa.
Princesses not your taste? Shields also recently made a pancake that looks like Baymax from Disney’s “Big Hero 2.”
