NEW HAVEN–A third suspect has been arrested in a 2013 murder case.

Nathaniel “Playboy” Bradley was shot and killed on October 14, 2013 on Ella T. Grasso Boulevard, near Goffe Street.

Detectives determined that the late-evening shooting occurred during a robbery gone bad, which allegedly was set up. Bradley was supposed to meet the three conspirators to buy drugs, and the suspects believed he’d have a lot of money with him.

On October 20, 2013, Bobby Griffin Jr., a New Haven resident born in 1992, who is believed to have been the shooter, was arrested and charged with weapons crimes, murder, first-degree robbery, felony murder, conspiracy to commit felony murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery.

On November 25, 2013 Ebony Wright, a New Haven resident born in 1987, was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery, felony murder, conspiracy to commit felony murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery.

On Sunday, February 22, 2015, police received an arrest warrant for Nathan Johnson, 25, of New Haven, who was believed to be the third and final suspect involved in the murder. He was found in his car in front of his home on Sherman Avenue and was arrested. Drugs were found on his body when he was arrested.

Johnson was charged with first-degree robbery, felony murder, conspiracy to commit felony murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery. He was also charged with possession of marijuana for the drugs found with him at the time of his arrest.
