MIDDLETOWN–Another student who overdosed on the drug molly at a party at Wesleyan over the weekend has been released from the hospital.

Middletown Police Lt. Heather Desmond released a statement that only one student remains hospitalized at Hartford Hospital. That student’s condition is unknown at this time as the family wants to respect the student’s privacy.

Overnight on Saturday twelve people were hospitalized after a “bad batch” of molly, a pure form of MDMA, was taken by several students and guests at the school.

“This particular batch may have led, may have had a mixture of several kinds of designer drug chemicals, making the health risks unpredictable and treatment to combat the effects complex and problematic,” Chief William McKenna said Tuesday night.

Police are continuing to investigate this and collect evidence from the incident to figure out exactly where the drugs came from, but four Wesleyan students have been arrested in connection to the incident: Rama Agha Al Nakib, 20, Zachary Kramer, 21, Eric Lonergan, 21, and Andrew Olson, 20.
