BRISTOL - Police have released the 911 call from a harrowing day for a credit union executive from Bristol. Matthew Yussman called another executive, after two suspects broke into his home, strapped a device to him, and told him to report to the credit union in New Britain where he worked.
That executive, from Berlin, called police where the call was transfered to Bristol. This all happened at 8:20 a.m. on Monday, Feb 23.
Entire neighborhoods were shut down and neighbors were forced to evacuate as law enforcement officers swarmed the area where Matthew Yussman and his mother Valerie lived.
It turned out, the device was fake and there was no bomb inside his home.
Police describe the suspects involved as men wearing dark clothing, ski-masks and ski goggles. They said the men spoke fluent English and had distinct accents. They were possibly driving an older, white four-door Mazda.
