WESTPORT — A deck at a home in Westport collapsed Thursday night, damaging a gas line from a propane tank.
Firefighters went to the scene on Silent Grove North because of some reports of a gas odor in the home.
The tank was actively leaking the gas until fire fighters found the shut off valve.
They say snow buildup caused the deck to collapse.
The area is now safe from the gas, fire officials said.
