NEW LONDON -- A man is dead after being shot several times on Saturday morning.
Police responded to 37 Spring Street around 2:15 a.m. for a report of three to four shots fired and a man down. When officers arrived to the house, they found Floyd Fooks, 31, of New London with multiple gunshot wounds in the basement.
An ambulance transported the man to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2:51 a.m.
Authorities continue to investigate this shooting.
