GROTON — On Friday, police responded to a residence on Crystal Lake Road for a reported armed home invasion.

Police found four victims, one of whom appeared to have been pistol whipped. The victim was treated and released from Lawrence and Memorial Hospital.

Officers arrested one adult, two 17-year-old juveniles and one 16-year-old juvenile in connection with the home invasion.

Police identified the adult as 19-year-old Christian Cruz of Waterford. Cruz was held on $100,000 bond and will be in New London Superior Court on Monday. The three juveniles were taken to a juvenile detention center.

The four suspects face multiple charges, including burglary and conspiracy to commit home invasion. During their investigation, officials recovered two firearms used during the crime. Police said the home invasion was not random and the victims were specifically targeted.
