NEW HAVEN – Two packages left Monday morning at the Federal courthouse are being investigated by authorities.
The New Haven bomb squad was called in after the U.S. Marshal’s Service and security personnel found two packages on the property around 6:45 a.m. Police closed Church Street to traffic in front of the building.
The bomb squad X-rayed the packages and determined there was nothing hazardous or explosive inside.
The street was reopened around 9:30 a.m.
New Haven police said the U.S. Marshal’s Service has taken over the investigation.
