HAMDEN–The chief of the department of public safety at Quinnipiac University is warning students about incidents involving Uber cars.
Chief David Barger sent an email to the Quinnipiac student body saying that there have been several incidents recently in which students have gotten into cars around the New Haven area thinking they were Uber cars when they weren’t.
Barger says to always make sure that when an Uber arrives to pick you up that the driver’s name, type of vehicle and license plate match the info sent to you when you ordered the car. You can also track the driver on a map and get a text when he or she arrives at the pick up location.
