FALL RIVER, Mass. — The fiancee of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez has testified in his murder trial that she removed a box from their basement at his request the day after Odin Lloyd was killed.

Shayanna Jenkins, 25, was on the stand Monday for a second day. Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to the June 17, 2013, killing of Lloyd, who was dating Jenkins' sister at the time of his death.

Jenkins says Hernandez called her the day after the killing and told her it was important to toss the box. Jenkins says she didn't look inside the box or ask what was inside.

She says she threw it in a trash bin, but couldn't remember where. "I don’t know, I found a random dumpster, I don’t remember where exactly it was located," Jenkins testified.

She said she asked Hernandez if he killed Lloyd, and he told her no.

Prosecutors have indicated the box could have held the murder weapon, which wasn't found.

Jenkins also testified about her relationship with Hernandez, including that he's cheated on her. She said being with Hernandez meant she'd have to accept certain things. "I would have to kind of compromise on his behavior, and that it included infidelity and everything that came along with it and I decided that it was worth fighting for," Jenkins said.

Jenkins later testified Hernandez and Lloyd smoked a lot of pot together and were friends.
