CTFastrak app lets riders track their buses in real time
HARTFORD–Monday was the first workday for CTFastrak, and things may have started slow, but they certainly sped up.
According to the Hartford Courant, the service was expected to start off light, which it was Monday morning, but ridership is predicted to pick over the next several years as the service becomes more well-known. Even by the evening rush hour the service was being used more, with many buses having standing-room only.
If you plan to be a CTFastrak commuter, you may want to download the Transit App. The app serves people across the country on a variety of public transportation systmes, and CTFastrak is just latest to utilize the service. The Transit APp tracks buses so that passengers know exactly when it will arrive.
The app was available as of Saturday for iOS and Android so that passengers could have real-time updates and avoid waiting around for a late bus.
The company posted an article about CTFastrak on Medium, saying the super environmentally-friendly bus rapid transit system may just be the best in America.
