HARTFORD — Consumer Reports is out with its list of best supermarkets.

Only one in the top five is actually in Connecticut.

Consumer Reports based its list on quality of produce, meat and bakery items. Store cleanliness was also taken into account.

Here’s the top five:

  1. Wegman’s
  2. Publix
  3. Trader Joe’s (The only store with locations in Connecticut)
  4. Fareway (An Iowa-based chain, not to be confused with Fairway Markets)
  5. Market Basket

Wholesale store Costco just missed the top five and landed at number six.
