GREATER SHREVEPORT, La.-- If you love TV that puts so on the edge of your seat, "Salem" season two will not disappoint.

The witches are extra wicked as a battle brews to be in charge. In "Witch War," the name of the second season, Mercy Lewis (Elise Eberle) is gathering an army to de-thrown Mary Sibley (Janet Montgomery).

Sibley's confidant, Tituba (Ashley Madekwe), is hard to trust. "I think ultimately she's team-Tituba," Madekwe said.

Anne Hale (Tamzin Merchant) is a reluctant witch, but a dangerous one. "She is someone that she really doesn't want to be in a lot of different ways," Hale said. "So season two is just like, for Anne, when we find her at the begining of season two, it can really only go up."

Just to make things interesting, a new witch sailed into the 17th century town. The Countess Marburg is a mean old witch--and a very powerful one at that--from Europe, and she's played by Lucy Lawless. "This character has been surviving for thousands of years."

Lawless and Montgomery talked about which witch is the wickedest:

"Even if we do get along I think one of us has to win, there's no way both of us can...succeed in what we want. She has something I want. And I'm not giving it up."

"Salem" season two, "Witch War," premieres Sunday at 10 p.m. on WGN America.
