PUTNAM — School counselors and the school superintendent will be at Putnam Middle School Thursday following an alleged threat that led to the arrest of a substitute teacher identified as Putnam resident Andrea Husson, 46.

The alleged incident happened Wednesday afternoon during class. Husson allegedly threatened to “shoot up” a classroom.

School Board President, Michael Morrill said the administrative staff immediately escorted her out of the building and then Putnam Police took over and made an arrest.

Parents of the middle school class received a phone call shortly after from staff alerting them of the incident and later that evening at reverse 911 phone call went out school wide with information about the alleged incident, said Morrill.

School Superintendent, William Hull is looking into the matter and will take action at a later date.

Husson has been charged with breach of peace and was released on a $1500 non surety bond and is schedule to appear in Danielson Superior Court on April, 22.
