HOLLYWOOD--I was a nail-biter, but Nick Fradiani has moved on to the Top 6 on "American Idol"!

The Guilford-native was the fourth contestant of the night to make it to the next round, leaving just two more spots for other contestants.

Before heading on stage we saw a pre-taped interview with the budding "Idol," and he was quite modest about his performances so far: "I'm in the middle right now," he said. "I think of it in a sports way, I want to get hot right when the playoffs start, and the playoffs are starting right now."

Then Nick sang Tom Petty's "American Girl," and the fans--and judges--loved it!

Jennifer Lopez told Nick that he has "a really radio-ready voice," explaining to him that "your tone is familiar but it's really your own."

Keith Urban agreed, and Harry Connick Jr. took the praise a step further, saying,"You did precisely what you need to do. Dead on."

This week all contestants had the opportunity to sing two songs, and for his second performance Nick rearranged Billy Joel's "Only the Good Die Young," earning a 10 out of 10 from Keith Urban.

At the end of the episode it was revealed that Joey Cook would not make it to the next round.
