WILLIMANTIC–Police are investigating a shooting that occurred around 3:20 p.m. on Valley Street.
No one was shot, but several shell casings were found on the ground.
Because the shooting occurred near the Windham Early Childhood Center, the school was on lockdown for about an hour.
Valley Street remains closed between Mansfield Avenue and Stop & Shop.
