FAIRFIELD — Residents in another Connecticut town have found messages reading “White Lives Matter” at their homes.

Fairfield police Lt. James Perez says someone delivered the messages to 8 different homes in the Greenfield Hill neighborhood around noon on Saturday.

Perez says the messages were written on white paper and placed in plastic bags weighted with small rocks. Fairfield police detectives are investigating.

He said no suspects have been found and no one has claimed responsibility.

The same messages in rock-weighted plastic bags have been found over the last two weeks in Westport, East Haven and Milford.

The messages first appeared in Connecticut during unrest in Baltimore over the death of Freddie Gray while in police custody. The slogan “Black Lives Matter” has been used around the country in protests of police shootings of black men.
