NEW HAVEN — New Haven police say a man was carjacked near Wolcott Street just before 4 p.m. Friday afternoon.
According to police, a 28-year-old city man parked his girlfriend’s car near Ferry and Peck streets and went to a corner Bodega. He told police that, when he returned to the car, he was confronted by two black men who asked him for a ride.
The victim told police that on Wolcott Street, the front-seat passenger pulled a pistol and told him to get out. He said the back-seat passenger took the wheel and they took off with the car.
Police said a review of surveillance footage confirmed the victim’s version of events.
The case remains under investigation and the car remains missing. The black Subaru Legacy bears CT plate #311-ZEW.
