HARTFORD – Police have made five arrests in connection with an early morning shooting in Hartford where the shooters took turns firing at the victim.

Police said a man was shot in the torso during a large scale fight that happened around 3 a.m. at a gas station at the intersection of Farmington Avenue and Evergreen Avenue.

Police said a fight started between a group of women, the victim and his friend, and the suspects. Police said video surveillance from the gas station showed the fight, and while it was going on, the suspects ran into a nearby building, and returned with a gun. The victim was shot at numerous times. Police said the suspects took turns firing the same .22 caliber automatic firearm at the victim.

Police arrested Sterling Cole, 25 of Hartford, on assault and firearms charges. Four others were charged with breach of peace, Androl Warsop 26; Kiara Rosario, 22; Jeremby Cole, 24; Alisha Holmes, 22, all of Hartford.

More arrests are expected.

The victim was taken to Saint Francis Hospital where he was in serious but stable condition.
