Man shot in the back at Hartford car wash

HARTFORD - Police are on the scene of a shooting at a Mr. Sparkle Car Wash at the corner of Kane Street and New Park Avenue.

Police say a 44-year-old man was shot in the back around 3:30 p.m. Police say his injuries are non-life threatening. He is recovering at Hartford Hospital.

Detectives are on the scene. No word on any suspects.

Meanwhile, police continue to investigate a shooting that left one man dead Tuesday night. It happened near 618 Maple Ave. Police said the victim of the shooting is a 23-year-old male that had multiple gunshot wounds to his torso.

That shooting is the cities fourth homicide in two weeks and eleventh homicide of the year. The Major Crime Division is investigating.
