WATERTOWN – Police have arrested the remaining suspect in a stabbing at a local bar after finding him hiding in a refrigerator.

Police arrested Jamar “Styles” Smith, 31, of Waterbury, on charges of attempted murder, assault, and reckless endangerment. Smith was found hiding in a refrigerator in the home of his girlfriend.  Police said Smith is suspected of stabbing another male in the chest during a fight at the Red Door Bar. Four other parties were arrested previously, one of whom is Smith’s girlfriend.

He is being helpd on $500,000 bond and is expected to appear in court Wednesday.

On Sunday, March 15 a fight broke out at the Red Door Bar on Main Street. One man was stabbed in the torso with a knife, a second was hit in the head with a beer bottle, and a woman was assaulted by a group of six assailants: three men and three woman.

In March, police arrested Franklin “Frankie” Damon Jr., 33, of Waterbury, Tichelle Teasley, 26, Chyann Stevenson, 29, and Kelly Hernandez, 31, on charges related to the incident.
