EAST HAMPTON–The FBI arrested a man today on charges of producing and distributing child pornography

Keith Haessly, 45, of East Hampton, was charged in federal court with possession, distribution and production of child porn.

In January 2015 the FBI got info that Haessly was distributing pornography online and had engaged in numerous sexually–explicit chats related to the sexual exploitation of young boys.

Haessly allegedly would pose as a woman named Amy Finch and use loop recordings of women to convince the boys to perform sexual acts over webcam while he video chatted with them. Haessly then allegedly recorded the sexual activity and distributed it.

Haessley is also a senior master sergeant with the Connecticut Air National Guard, where he works full time, according to spokesperson Capt. Michael Petersen. Petersen says the Guard is fully cooperating with the investigation and agencies involved.

There is a minimum 15-year sentence for the production of child pornography.

The FBI worked with the Connecticut Child Exploitation Task Force to investigate this case. The prosecution is part of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Project Safe Childhood Initiative. For more information about Project Safe Childhood, click here.
