CROMWELL--A special tent at the Travelers Championship in Cromwell on Tuesday made a big impact on some military families.

St. Francis Hospital employee Lynn Veith presented 40 expecting military wives with baby quilts as part of a program called Operation Shower. In the past, Veith has made quilts for the national Quilts of Valor Foundation.

Veith has been working on the quilts for nine months, and that she was inspired to do this after her son served in Afghanistan.

Sponsors at the tournament presented the women with other gifts as well.
