HARTFORD - Tommy is a two year old cat who is FIV+, but he can live with non FIV+ cats.

FIV is Feline Immunodeficiency Virus.  It is a compromised Immune system and it is a cat only virus. Transfers to other cats via deep bite wounds. Often because of territory fights and with non-neutered cats.  Cats with FIV can live long full lives with it.  They just need to live indoors, eat good quality food and go to the vet regularly and when at first signs of any illness, just like a non FIV cat.

He's very low energy and perfect for couch potatoes, but he will head butt you for attention.

Tommy is great with other cats, and likely fine with slow introduction to a cat experienced dog. He was found as a stray, so we have no way of knowing.  If any higher energy cats get in his face he turns and walks away.
