BONITA SPRINGS – The death Monday of a former Ansonia resident was ruled a homicide by police.

Dr. Teresa Ann Sievers, 46, was found dead in her Jarvis Street home in Bonita Springs, Florida on Monday morning just before 10 a.m.

The investigation is ongoing and police are asking neighbors in the area to remain vigilant.

According to the News-Press of Fort Meyers, Florida, Sievers was popular in Southwest Florida for writing about women’s health issues and concerns. She wrote for several publications, including The News-Press, and appeared on local television channels.
