HARTFORD - Many older dogs get over looked because of their age. However, people who are looking for pets should know that an older dog is housebroken and easier to integrate into your life.

Older dogs like Cecil, a ten-year-old male Shih Tzu mix, are looking for a relaxing retirement.

He was rescued from a local pound; found roaming, never claimed.

It was clear he'd been neglected, because his teeth were severely rotting, and we had to remove most of them.

His toenails were so long, they were growing into his paws pads

He loves people and loves to snuggle so he's looking for a home will offer a calm, quiet routine, and lots of affection. He would be fine with other dogs, but he's not going to be a playmate.
