NEW LONDON - Sailfest has anchored in New London for the 38th year and organizers have been working on the event for months.

Sailfest is no longer all about the boats.

It's about music on four different stages, it's about amusement for kids and adults, and for many, it's all about the food.

Even after all this time and all these changes, Sailfest hasn't said Bon Voyage to its history - an event that began as a sailboat race.

You can take harbor tours on a Mystic whaler, learn boating safety on the Unite States Power Squadron's virtual trainer, and actually climb aboard a ships that has ties to New London history.
