Torrington dealership fire

TORRINGTON- A fire broke out at the Northwest Hills Chevrolet Dealership early Monday morning.

Firefighters responded to the fire shortly before 3 a.m. Smoke was initially showing in the show room but upon further inspection firefighters saw a car in the service area that was fully involved. The fire was quickly put out.

“The guys made a quick attack on it,” said Torrington Fire Chief Gary Brunoli.”To get the smoke out is labor intensive we rotated crews in and out and made sure it got taken care of.”

Firefighters left the scene around 7:30 a.m.

The fire does not appear to be suspicious at this time. The Fire Marshall is investigating.

The owner of the dealership says the service area will remain closed Monday but the rest of the dealership will be open as usual.
