Hamden police investigate home invasion

HAMDEN – Police are looking for suspects in a home invasion that happened Friday night.

Police said around 8:30p.m. Friday, they were called to a home on Newcastle Drive for a reported home invasion.

According to their investigation, two black men, wearing dark-colored hooded sweatshirts, masks and gloves, forced entry through a side door of the house. Armed with handguns, police said they threatened to shoot the occupants if they didn’t cooperate. Police said the victims were held at gunpoint, while their home was searched.

Police said the suspects took electronic equipment, jewelry, sneakers and money. Attempt to track the suspects using canines were unsuccessful. There were no reported injuries.
