Two state parks filled to capacity Sunday

HARTFORD — Despite hazy skies, the heat and humidity had some Connecticut residents heading to beaches around the state Sunday, and some have filled up.

The DEEP said these beaches are filled to capacity this afternoon:

Indian Wells State Park in Shelton is full to parking capacity as of 11:45 a.m.
Squantz Pond State Park in New Fairfield was full to parking capacity as of 3 p.m.
