HARTFORD–Police have identified the victim and suspect in a fatal accident in which a car struck a bicyclist.
On Thursday July 23 at 5:28 p.m. Hartford Police responded to the intersection of Wethersfield Avenue and Bond Street on a report that a bicyclist was hit by a car.
The victim, who was later identified as Carlos Perez, 69, was treated at the scene for life-threatening injuries. He died four days later, on July 27.
The driver of the car, Dalia Bourassa, 38, failed a field sobriety test on the scene and was charged with driving while intoxicated.
Police are asking for any witnesses to come forward to assist in the investigation.
