Police: Portland man touched himself at Lake Compounce water park

BRISTOL – A Portland man was arrested for inappropriately touching himself in a water park.

According to police, on Tuesday around 5:30 p.m. security received a complaint from a visitor at Lake Compounce that a man was seen sitting on a bench in the area of the water park and inappropriately touching himself. Security responded to the area and also reported witnessing the same inappropriate behavior.

The area is a main through-way for guests to walk from the main gates to the water park, according to police. Security estimated attendance at 6,000 people, adults and children, in that area at the time of the incident.

Bhulai was detained by security until the police arrived and arrested him.

Tyler Bhulai, 29, was arrested and charged with public indecency, second-degree breach of peace, and risk of injury/ impairing the morals of a child.

He was released on $10,000 bail and is slated to appear at the Bristol Court on August 10.
