GROTON - Firefighters battled a fire in a condo complex early Tuesday morning.
The fire was in a condo complex at 371 Meridian St. Extension.
The call came in around 5:30 a.m. Officials said there was lightning at the time the fire started and are investigating if it was the cause.
Lightning is also a possible cause of a fire at an apartment complex in Bethel Tuesday.
The call for the fire at a complex on Grassy Plain Road came in at 5:06 a.m. There were no injuries.
Three people were evacuated from the apartments which suffered mostly exterior damage.
