EAST HARTFORD – A crash on Route 2 killed an East Hartford man.
Brandon Gothberg, 20 of East Hartford was killed when the Jeep Liberty he was driving went into the center median near Exit 5B on Route 2 and then crossed back to the right side of the high way where he hit a sign support.
The accident happened around 10:15 p.m. Friday night.
He was critically injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are asking any witnesses to call police at 860-534-1000.
Another fatal accident occurred moments earlier a short distance away, Kamorn Redding_Hall, 26 of Hartford, collided with the guard rail off Exit 55 on I-84 Eastbound. Police said he was attempting to turn left turn on the ramp and drifted to the right and laid the motorcycle down. He struck the metal guard rails on the right shoulder. He was taken to Hartford Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
An accident in the same area killed an East Hartford teen on Thursday. Erik Blades, 18, of East Hartford, died after he lost control of his Honda Accord and hit a tree on the side of the highway.
