CANBERRA, Australia–A random act of kindness can go a long way.
A mother was in the hospital with her 9-week-old son for several days, and when she arrived at her car she saw a parking ticket. However, inside the envelope was a surprise.
The mom, who wrote about her chance encounter on a Facebook community page for mothers who live in Canberra, Australia, said that someone left a note with the ticket saying she had paid for it.
Here’s what the note said:
Hi there,
I saw your car had a parking ticket on it, I’m sure whatever you are going through hat hospital is tough enough so I have paid for you.
Hope things get better!!
The mother wrote on the Facebook page that she hopes the woman “knows how much I appreciate her support.”
The post has gotten 73,000 likes; 9,000 shares; and nearly 3,000 comments in just over a day.
