7 injured after U.S. military helicopter crashes off Okinawa

TOKYO — Seven people were injured after a U.S. military helicopter crashed Wednesday off the coast of Japan’s Okinawa Island, the Japanese Coast Guard said.

All 17 crew members of the UH-60 helicopter have been rescued, the coast guard said.

It said it had received the rescue request from Camp Foster, a U.S. Marine Corps facility on Okinawa.
