On August 6, a white man entered the TD Bank located at 143 S. Main St. and passed a note to the bank teller demanding money. He got the money and left. A K9 search was not successful. The suspect was described as about 40 years old with a slender build, very short dark brown hair, about 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, and was wearing a blue polo t-shirt and checkered golf shorts.
The same day, a different white man entered the First Niagara Bank located at 55 S. Main St. He too handed the teller a note demanding money, and left the bank with the cash. He threatened to shoot the teller, but never showed a weapon.
It is unknown if the two robberies on that day are related.
On August 13, the same white man returned to the TD Bank and showed note demanding money. He was given cash and left. Employees remembered him from the first bank robbery.
Police are offering a $2,000 reward for any information leading to the suspects’ arrests.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Scott Segar at 860-523-2143.
