ELLINGTON – An accident closed Route 83 Thursday morning, but the road has reopened.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation said the road was closed due to a one car accident around 10:15 a.m. The road reopened around noon.
The road was closed between Kibbe Road and the Somers town line.
The driver was not seriously injured and was taken to Hartford Hospital.
