Around 9 p.m. Bloomfield Police reported that an arrest warrant had been issued for Robert Lee Graham, 59, of Hartford. He was charged with murder.

Officers from both the Bloomfield and Hartford police departments went to Graham’s house to try to execute the arrest warrant, and the suspect was found hiding in his attic. He was taken into custody without incident.

Jackson, 23, of Hartford, went missing on August 11. She was last seen getting into a car, of her own free will, with a man around 11 p.m. Her family reported her missing the next day when she didn’t come home.

Last Friday, August 14, Fox CT spoke with friends of Jackson’s. At that time, they said that the person who saw her get into the car that night saw that her friend Robert was driving the car.

Police said when they first reported the missing person’s report that they had located the man with whom Jackson was last seen, as well as his car. The car was seized and police said they had interviewed the man several times.

On Tuesday, exactly one week after she disappeared, members of a search party made up of family, friend and law enforcement officials looking for Jackson found a female body behind a building on Granby Street in Bloomfield, later identified as Tashauna.  The cause of her death has not been determined. Police said it appeared someone had tried to conceal her body.

Anyone with any information is asked to call 911 or Hartford or Bloomfield police.

Editors note: A previous version of this story said Graham served a lengthy prison sentence for the murder of Lulu Ceasar in 1983. Hartford police confirmed to the Hartford Courant Monday that he was never convicted of that crime. Read more from The Courant here.
