Manchester police investigate armed home invasion

MANCHESTER — An armed man broke into a home, tied up the residents and stole items early Saturday morning.

Police said a man armed with a handgun broke into a unit in the Beacon Hill complex on West Middle Turnpike, near the Manchester-East Hartford town line, around 2:15 a.m.

The suspect forced the residents to the ground and tied them up, before searching the home for cash and small electronic items to steal and then left the scene.

No one was injured.

Police used dogs to search for the suspect but no one was located and they are still looking for the man. .

They ask people to lock their doors and windows and call police if they see anything suspicious.
